A/P Ma
Dr. Huiru Ma is currently an Associate Professor of School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Life Science, Wuhan University of Technology, China. She is master and doctoral supervisor.
She obtained her B.S.(1998), M.S. (2001) and Ph.D. (2005) degrees all from State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Materials Synthesis and Processing, Wuhan University of Technology. Afterwards, she joined into School of Science of the same university during 2005-2015 and became an Associate Professor in 2007. Since 2016 she has moved to School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Life Science of Wuhan University of Technology. So far she has received several national important research projects including 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China. She also got multiple projects founded by the open funds of state key laboratory of advanced technology for materials synthesis and processing of Wuhan University of Technology and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. Her graduate and undergraduate students were supported by the Self-determined and Innovative Research Funds and Students innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program of Wuhan University of Technology. She has published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed SCI journals such as Adv Mater, Nano Lett, Angew Chem Int Ed, Nanoscales, JMCC etc. and had 10 invention patents authorized by China. She won the Technological Invention Award first prize from Hubei Provincial People's Government in 2010.
Her current research interests mainly focus on responsive photonic crystals based on uniform superparamagnetic nanoparticles, electromagnetic functional composite materials as well as their applications in energy-saving display, visual sensing, and anti-counterfeiting technology.
